Organic By Nature shop offers unique fair trade toys for your baby, toddler or older child. In 1958, Barbara Sansoni, a colourist and artist, created the BAREFOOT concept out of a need for a rehabilitation program for young Sri Lankan women, who had little schooling and no skills. Today, BAREFOOT is a premier textile design company exporting worldwide. High quality workmanship and handwork are not cheap substitutes for machinery, which is why BAREFOOT products are relatively expensive and will last a lifetime. Each worker earns a real living wage, so they can support themselves and their families.
Nothing is mass produced! Each toy is fully handcrafted by one person from start to finish under fair trade regulations. These toys are made with handwoven cotton fabric and filled with natural kapok fiber. Only premium Swiss colourfast and non-toxic dyes are used for these brilliant colours. Delightfully bright and cuddly they are safe for babies and small children.

This cute Octopus is made of 100% handwoven cotton fiber and dyed using ecological, non-toxic pigments. It is stuffed with kapok, a natural, non-synthetic plant fiber and handcrafted from start to finish by one person.
Choose large (45 cm width) or small (35 cm width). Made under fair labour regulations in Sri Lanka. Small octopus does not have suction cups on its’ tentacles.
